2 April 2019 Espanyol 1 Getafe 1 La Liga

Djene Dakonam (Togo) - very solid right-sided centre back for Getafe, some quality interceptions, a few slight errors but able to recover, also got away with a miskick. Able to distribute with both feet. Booked later in the second period.

Espanyol included Chinese star Wu Lei as a left-sided attacker but he had just the one half chance which was blocked by the Getafe goalie. Otherwise, his opportunities were limited.

And in the first half, it was generally a game of limited chances.

But the home side went ahead on 56 minutes when the Getafe defence seemed to freeze and Iglesias saw his effort cross the line.

After what felt like an interminable wait the goal was confirmed by the referee.

However, Getafe soon pressed for an equaliser and that came when Angel was set free through the middle for an easy finish.

It was certainly deserved much to the annoyance of the home crowd.

Though Espanyol got close near the end the result looked fair.

And meant the visitors remain in the Champions League places and Espanyol in the lower half of La Liga.
